Wow. Talk about stopping at goal line. Sounds like you only have the final boss fight left, 30 minutes tops. Then again, I'd recommend you to buy and play Trespasser, since it adds good story as well as better game play. But I guess that's not very interesting to you. I know you mean well but that sounds like "Hey, you didn't like this one but spend money for more of it." Hmm, sorry for sounding like that - first post here as well, not the best start . So let me rephrase. What I meant was to encourage you to finish, since you seem to be so close to it. And that Trespasser improves gameplay and story, so it's really worth it, IMHO. But/and I realize that this is a personal (but not uncommon) opinion, and if you don't like the game, you simply don't; I guess you've heard most of these arguments before.

I'd recommend doing the main questline in every zone before doing any sidequests in them. That way you'll get to see the meat of each world's story arc first. I'd also avoid any collection sdiequests like shard hunting and flag planting. I'd also try to stay within the recommended level range for each main story quest, since that acts as a limit on how much non-story content I'd do before then. On that note, being a different combination of companions to each story quest. They help with the atmosphere of their's something relevant they bring to the table.
For example, I'd bring Cassandra and Vivienne for Champions of the Just.

I think the main thing is just not to get carried away with all the side quests, as people have been saying, sticking to the main quests IMO makes for a better experience.
