Since we're only starting out this forum I thought I'd ask everyone about their favorite Companion.
Mines Oghren, I really love that he's the stereotypical Tolkien dwarf in the world of Dragon Age, it really does give us a better understanding of DA dwarves to know that Oghren is an outcast. Not to mention I love his character arc, he just wants respect, and he's fiercely loyal to a warden willing to give it to him. Having him return in Awakening was a great addition even if he did play out the same arc as in Origins.
What about you guys?

In the whole series? I'd probably have to say the typical suspects like Alistair, Morrigan... were all at least a bit appealing.
My absolute favorite was possibly Velanna in Awakening, wish they had explored her more.

My favorites are Morrigan, Shale, and Oghren. I liked Morrigan's speaking style but I love how you can soften her anti-social attitude both through friendship and romance. She's also plot relevant, where Alistair is the only other one who is. Oghren is one dimensional but funny. Shale is similar but has the arc of finding out she was made from a dwarf. I love how she calls the Warden "it," even when referring to the Warden in the third person to another character. She's quite smart and aware, but also punches people. In the whole series? I'd probably have to say the typical suspects like Alistair, Morrigan... were all at least a bit appealing. My absolute favorite was possibly Velanna in Awakening, wish they had explored her more. Yeah, especially since her sister ends up working with the Architect, making her more connected to the plot than the other companions.

Yeah I heard that Velanna was supposed to be more of a complicated shingdig but ended up getting caught, so that connection was supposed to be even more fleshed out and deeper, as far as I know.
