In. I can't wait until we get new info on ME:A characters but Liara will always be my favorite.

I find it difficult to do a playthrough without Shep getting with her. LotSB makes it even more difficult, since I find this mission is a lot more fun with the romance active. It's the same way for Izzy in DA2 and Sera in DA:I. I do hope though that whatever asari companion we get in MEA isn't some identical personality to her though. I trust Bio to deliver.

I always tell myself ill romance Ashley this time but always end up in the med bay flirting with liara.

Liara, introduced back in the time where characters were actually plot integral.
LotSB was awesome but it was made necessary by the horrible and unbelievable character transition between ME1 and ME2. It doesn't work well to have that big of a character shift off screen, especially when you can't explore it. I hated that she was an "information broker", as if we needed more. The Shadow Broker was established in the first game and wasted in ME2 prior to LotSB. Then they did practically nothing with Liara being the Shadow Broker in ME3.
The coolest thing Liara does is talk to Shepard after LotSB and talk to Shepard about her special project. Those are the points where Shepard actually gets some personality.
